Alternate Grounds Dockside is an upscale bistro, our menu includes food unavailable anywhere else in Sarnia. Unique menu items were inspired by the owners’ travels, particularly to Mexico and the Southern states.
The lunch and dinner menu includes tequila steak tacos, chorizo queso fundito and a grilled ciabatta with genoa salami, black forest ham, mortadella and provolone with a spicy olive tapanade.
We wanted to do something different from a regular burger so we introduced a meatloaf sandwich instead.
The breakfast menu offers a classic bacon and eggs breakfast for $8 but also features lobster omelets for $15, southern waffles served with bacon, fried chicken and balsamic maple syrup for $14, and pumpkin pie pancakes with candied walnuts for $9.
The restaurant has been redecorated with new lighting, a new serving stand, new flooring and new chairs.
