Sarnia - Port Huron/Sarnia International Offshore Powerboat Race |
Offshore powerboat racing is coming to the Blue Water Area! Gear up for a weekend of wild water fun as Port Huron and Sarnia, Canada partner for the International Offshore Powerboat Race! Proceeds will benefit The Chris Dawson Foundation and Jim Stokely Scholarship. This 2nd annual event on the St. Clair River will bring to life boat enthusiasts, nautical devotees and cheering fans from all over the Blue Water Area and beyond! Family Fun events include: carnival, beverage tents, International Food Festival, Dux Boat Races, classic car show and much more! As part of this event's festivities on Friday night, come and enjoy a classic car display, carnival, artist displays, and put on your dancing shoes and groove to the music (live band) in Centennial Park, from 8:30 to 11:00 pm. Saturday 11 am-6 pm - Race Village hours of operation. Course prep for powerboats, International Food Festival, live music, carnival, beer tents, artist displays, 3-4 pm Dux Boat Races (Sarnia Bay); 4:30 pm-6 pm meet and greet with the Drivers at Sarnia Bay Marina, Sarnia, ON. Sunday 12 Noon-4:30 pm Races!!!! (With practice & time trials throughout the day in Saturday.) Race Village hours of operation, carnival, beer tents, artist displays, International Food Festival.
