Come out and enjoy Paintball Cage, Arts & Crafts, Live Graffiti, Skate Contests, Tug-A-War, BBQ's, Live Bands! Entertainment: YOUTHINASIA is a highly entertaining and aggressive Canadian progressive punk band. Relentlessly DIY, inspiring and epic in their live shows they are no strangers to Sarnia with appearances dating back to 2005. History of Event: From humble beginnings, Skate Jam was thought up by Pat Ovens & Marty Oblak while checking out some skateboarders in Tecumseh Park in the spring of 2009. They watched the kids on their boards while sitting in the greatest park in Sarnia & thought that there was something missing. With a huge amount of space for people & activities in this great park, the wheels started turning, & Pat started to think about ways to make use of his fondest childhood hangout place. He began imagining a fun day for Sarnians of all types to enjoy music & company of each other &to gather for FREE fun activities, summer smiles, home-grown music, skate boarding, BMX-ing & charity. And so began the birth of Skate Jam. Along with some help from friends, Marty Oblak & Doug Nargang, Pat dedicated his summer to planning Sarnia’s own Skate Jam for you to enjoy. |
