Eco-Journey
Honey Bees, Herbs & Trees
Join us on a journey that takes you to some of Mother Nature's best creations in North Lambton county. Our first stop will be a herb farm featuring beautiful gardens filled with colourful varieties of plants and organically grown herbs. Discover the 140-year old barn that houses a store filled with fragrant herbs and dried flower products. As our journey continues we drive along the lakeshore heading north to Pinery Provincial Park. One of Ontario's most visited recreational spots with more than 6,000 acres featuring towering oak Savannah woodland, sandy beaches, dunes, nature trails and daily wildlife sightings.
Time to stop for a delicious lunch at Marcanda Gifts & Tea Room and enjoy hospitality at its best. After lunch we visit the alpaca farm to see these friendly animals up close and tour the mill where yarns and batts are produced from their fine fibre. Bring home a warm sweater or scarf as a souvenir. Our last stop of the day may have a sticky twist to this journey. Take flight at Munro Honey & Meadery with the honeybee for a truly unique experience. Learn about honeybees and follow honey from hive to table. Time to explore the gift shop and observation hive and sample award-winning Meads (honey wine) produced on site at Ontario's only Meadery.
